Josh O’Connor and Isabel Rossellini star in award-winning director Alice Rohrwacher’s heady mix of adventure, romance, gritty social drama and magical realism. 

Set in the 1980s, the film follows Arthur, an Englishman adrift in search of the Chimera, who represents to him his lost love, Beniamina. He joins a band of tombaroli, thieves of grave goods and archaeological wonders, using his dowsing skills to become de facto leader in his obsessive quest.  Redoubtable matriarch Flora (Rossellini) and her beautiful, daffy student Italia (Carol Duarte) offer a key to the present.
