Wanted: A New Treasurer for Frittenden Memorial Hall
Our current Treasurer Helen Bosley will be retiring soon, and we need to find a new one. Could this be you?
Accounting experience is desirable, and we would ensure an effective handover. This is a responsible but fulfilling role and you would be helping to run a vital community resource. Now that we have completed the renovation of the Hall, the accounts are relatively simple, keeping track of income (fundraising and hire income) and expenditure.
The Hall is a charity (number 302746) and you would become a Trustee of the Hall, joining a dedicated and friendly band who keep the building running and put on events through the year. We hold about 11 committee meetings a year.
Please email contact@frittendenmemorialhall.co.uk to express interest and request further information.
Plaque unveiling
The Memorial Hall is included in the Historical Society’s ‘purple’ plaque scheme to mark the 50th anniversary of the Society. The plaque was unveiled on Sunday 16th June by Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Kent, Tim Bull, and FMH Committee Chair, Rosalind Riley.

The Hall is one of 31 properties and monuments in the centre of the village in the scheme. There is a booklet with details of all of these, as well as a map. It can be bought from the Bell & Jorrocks, or directly from the Historical Society.

We need YOU!
After completing our wonderfully successful renovation of the hall we are looking for some fresh faces from the village to join our committee and help manage, run and promote this fantastic community asset. Could this be you??! Could you help with maintenance? Are you fab at fund raising or is admin your thing? Or do you just want to get more involved in village life? We meet one evening a month and you can take on as much or as little as you want. If you’re interested or want to find out more please contact us.
Thank you!
Thank you
Thank you all for a wonderful evening opening the refurbished Memorial Hall and unveiling the new Meeting Room, named in memory of the 64 Frittenden residents who served in WWII.
Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make the event a success, and to Shabba for a truly fab performance.
Huge thanks to everyone who donated and fundraised to make this happen.
I hope you all enjoy using the new-look spaces and facilities, including our top quality kitchen, free internet and performance equipment.
Watch this space for an exciting potential development… Films on the big screen, anyone…?!
